Mizpah Sandwash, private property?

I was trying to find the ruins of the old factory and see the Mizpah Sandwash off of Harley Ave in Mizpah, NJ. As I rode back on the dirt road called "Harley Ave" beyond the farmhouse, field and the property surrounding the farmland, I noticed that there are posted yellow signs on the trees after the farm algongside the road. I went a little further on, thinking it was just the extended borders of the farm and that the rest would be open land. However, the signs continued. I believe I was almost to where Harley Ave. and Railroad Blvd. meet. I did not want to trespass any further in case it truly was all private land, road included, so i left without seeing the sandwash. Can anyone who knows this area tell me if it is ALL private land, or just the wooded land on the side(s) of the road?

Not personally familiar with that location, guessing it's somewhere around here? The green-shaded areas on this map are public openspace. You can use the app like a GPS on your phone and it will show your location.

You can see a lot more info in the XT app

These aerials show property lines

But a BIG disclaimer... I make absolutely no claims as to the accuracy of those maps and data. I did my best, but "caveat emptor"... don't blame me when they bust you for trespassing. :D

I never trust old no-tresspassing signs on vacant land. Often, the land was transferred to the state, county, municipality, or some conservation society, and you won't know it and will not enjoy it. Run it down is my advice. And be aware that often a Post Office Box is shown as the owners adress, but track that down too, if often means a county purchase. And on the below map, green shading usually means it's conserved land.

In the below map, zoom in until you see the property lines, and then click inside to see the owner.

Thank you so much! your maps and advice are always excellent! I agree with you and accept responsibility for my own actions I'd hold you blameless if I got blamed for trespassing. Your info/maps, and that of "bobpbx" have given me the exact answer that I needed. From my interpretation, the road is a public road, but the multiple properties alongside it are private until you get back to the junction between Harley Ave. and Railroad Blvd. At that point, it is "WMA" conserved land. So I believe I would be fine if I just stayed on Harley Ave. straight back to Railroad Blvd.. Nonetheless, I may just might simply knock on the door of the farm and confirm that it is a public road and a "wma" area. LOL! The problem is, I won't drive my SUV back there! There are pot holes the size of NJ on the road. I drove through them the first time, but I was a bit foolish. Next time I will use my bike. I live nearby so no big deal. Thanks so much for your advice!
