As of Friday May 3rd at 1:15 PM, this event is still going. call the New Egypt Speedway office @ (609)-758-1900 before you head out. There is a possibility of them cancelling our event due to poor weather conditions. Granted the guys who are running don't really care, the spectators do. Spectator admission fees go towards the payouts, so you can see where theyre coming from. Make sure you call though do to the fact that even though it may be raining at home, it may not be raining there, or vice versus.
Thanks,
Dave

"There is a possibility of them cancelling our event due to poor weather conditions"

A mud race possibly canceled due to rain? LOL!!
I had a great time in the deluge down at NJ Motorsports Park in Millville watching the Grand Am series compete.

It was a bit damp!

lol i feel the same way. If it was up to us "mud in the pines", we'd run it. What the problem is, is that it cost anywhere from about $1500 - $2000 to open the track for the day. If the track doesn't get any spectators, they are depending on entries only, which leaves a chance of putting money out of their pocket. the other thing is that, the spectator entries are the payout money for the top 3 of each class. next one is the first friday night of June.
