Jessica said it is a Red Toadstool. I don't think it is from the photos I see.

The south shoulder of Pinewald Keswick Road is full of them. Happens every year around this time.

Amanita muscaria var., listed as poisonous and hallucinogenic

I had this grow up out back a year or so ago. Never found out what kind, but it just looks ominous. I named it Starship.

I thought it was Fistulina, but could not confirm it. To bad as they are very good eating.
