New Area Code

It appears that there will be a new area code soon. It will be 640. As far as I can see if you are in a 609 or 640 area code ..... on or after August 18 if you dial out of either of those codes you will need to add a 1 to the number. For example I have a 609 code. I will need to go through my phone and add a 1 to all contacts that are not a 609 or 640 code or my call will not go through.

? That is always been the case with me. I am 609, and for any other area code, I have to add a 1.
