Hi All! A new member checking in. I've been reading this forum since I started roaming the Pines in 2009. After recently meeting a member of this site, I thought it's about time for me to jump in. My main intent of this post is to introduce myself. But first I like to say that I'm quite impressed with the wealth of knowledge and the sheer appreciation for the pinelands that many contributors have on this forum.
Over the years I've been exploring the pinelands extensively in the Burlington and Ocean county areas, mostly roaming cedar swamps, old bogs, savannahs, and spungs looking for all varieties of plant-life, and anything else that may be of interest. With the help of this site, I get a great charge in discovering rare plants on my own, after studying their habitats where these plants may be found. I also enjoy fishing in the old cranberry bogs.
This all started when my wife bought me a GPS unit as a gift, and started geocaching in the Pines. Since then, I don't think she knew what I eventually got myself into.
Glad to be on board.
