Jon, I am impressed with your photography. Love when you capture shades and hues in the sky. It gives definition to the entire scene. :)

I've driven over the Rt. 50 bridge at times, my entire life, admiring the river, but never thinking to explore beyond. And I always thought the Pine Barrens was Batsto and the occasional canoe trip. Better late than never.

Bob, I actually don't know where (and if) Mt. Misery is, but the North Branch Mount Misery Brook runs through it, and Mt. Misery Pasadena Rd runs below it (according to Google). I do not know the historical name of the bogs. EDIT: I see the Pinelands Center at Mt. Misery and the Mt. Misery Brook seems to start there.

That is the North Branch Bogs. They were owned by J.J. White.

Thank you for the accurate information Teegate. Makes sense since the North Branch Mount Misery Brook feeds them. I will change the name of my file folder, but I do not see a way to change the name of the thread to "North Branch Bogs and South River".

I appreciate it Teegate. Your post spurred me to read up on Joseph J. White, and I may go to Whitesbog early tomorrow to look for a sunrise shot. One thing leads to another.
