Burlington County taxpayers could find themselves picking up a much larger portion of the tab for the county's aggressive land-preservation transactions if a state fund that is running near empty isn't renewed.

Well... same as it ever was. The "county's aggressive land-preservation transactions" always seem to include deals to "protect farmland" by paying the wealthy owner not to sell it to developers.

Gee, I really miss living in Burlington County and paying $6,000/year in taxes instead of $3,000/year for 3 times as much land in Atlantic County...
