Everyone I am sure has the same weather down here that I do in Waterford. I was out early, cleaned the cars off, went to get the paper & a coffee. The usual.Roads kind of lousy, wind is wicked etc.
Back home I help get everyone ready for church & I am staying home.
I warm up the van and see my family off and buckled in but not before saying to my wife, please do not close the front door... I think it is locked. Now I am not a baby about the cold, I don't like it but hey. So I am in Loafers, jeans and a t-shirt walking back in when I grab the doorknob and guess what. Right !
Now my driveway is 400 feet long and away I go chasing them, yelling waving my arms and of course there are my kiddies and wife waving me a gleeful goodbye. Bugger me !! We recently gave the spare outside key to my mom and so, fortunately they live across a small field from me but it was still an unpleasant jog. I got back in, cold, a little cross.
I asked my wife to call when at church just so I know they were o.k.
Lynn, I said...did you happen to see me running and jumpimg like a goof down the yard ?? Well it wasn't a cheery send off. Obviously she was terribly sorry and hey, it's funny in the long run. The lesson here is obvious. Enjoy.

Thank for posting about your plight. You need to get one of the locks that have push buttons.
