I got out for a bit yesterday to investigate a bog on the Ore Spring branch. I vistited this spot a few weeks back at night in my bronco and had a bit of a mishap. My bronco slid off the side of a dike and got wedged against some pines. It pulled itself out but suffered some body damage. oh well, just no biggie. I did pull all my emergency brake cables off that same night on a stump though.

Back to the subject. I took the motorcycle out to do a quick investigation. This old bog lies south of the RR on the Ore spring branch before the confluence of the feather bed.

The featherbed bogs are always a pleasure to visit. I like the way the cedars look like a mountain on the far shore

Okay a bit of trivia:
Name this ruin. I know some forum members have been here. I will post more pictures if nobody gets it. No cheating by looking in my photo gallery.

Since between your first post and your second one was mostly through the night, I suspect most have not viewed it like me. Just happen to be home from work early. In any event, I would just have to guess and say Sandy Ridge even though it does not look familiar.

Beautiful photos Jeff, especially the first one.

As everyone knows, I am rough around the edges on cellar holes and ghost towns. I'm a geographic and nature lover. It looks like Washington to me, but I'm probably wrong.

I posted Sunday. It is inexcusable that no one commented within 24 hours!!:D
