Pines; Bamber area
This photo shows how the Rancocas is changing. This is my son from this morning. He caught this carp in a small canal that was made for a mill in Mt. Holly. It would be interesting to know exactly where the pickeral peter out and these begin. I'd bet somewhere near Smithville?

Wow! That is a nice catch. He really looks like he was enjoying himself.

Browns Mills
Back when they rebuilt the Mirror Lake dam in Browns Mills they lowered the lake to just a couple of acres size. Before they started working on the dam the state came out and electro fished what was left of the lake. The big bass and pickeral they released into the other lakes in town but all the big carp they just released into the N. Branch of the Rancocas. Bob, 20+ years ago I was driving through Allentown N.J. and saw someone pulling a large carp out of the stream below the lake. I found out later that it was your brother Frankie.

I heartell if you put carp in a tub of fresh water for a couple days they get rid of all the mud in their gut and it sweetens them up a bit and they are then good eatin?Never tried it myself.
