It has been a while since I have seen the piebald heard I know of near my house. I figured they were wiped out or something since I used to see them all the time and then nothing. Well, today I briefly took the motorcycle out and sure enough there they were again
I got real close to this one and I didn't see any brown on her at all. Looks like an albino. In the misty dark drizzle today they looked liked ghosts in the pines. Of course, didn't have my camera on the bike. I hope hunters generally leave them be. they are fairly rare and way too easy to pick off anyway. It is good to have them back. Fortunitely they have been hanging out on the boader of private (no hunting) property.
