Pine Plains Today

Bob and I visited the pine plains today and stopped at a location with a very nice view. My camera really has issues but you can get the idea.

Yes, a nice view indeed. This is looking east from a hill north of the FAA tower. I looked at the maps, and it is a bowl of classic plains vegetation 1/2 mile in diameter. It's like looking down into a large arena.

I like it when you drop down into the bowl you can't see 539 or the tower or anything manmade.Another area like it east of 539 where you drop down in a hollow and are engulfed by the Plains with no planes in view.
