Jessica and I ran into this pine snake today. Not being an expert on pine snakes it appears to me it just ate or has eggs. We followed it's previous path and found not far away a hole about 6 inches deep that it had spent some time at. When we looked into the hole there was a live toad resting comfortably at the bottom.
I see that between June and August they lay their eggs, so does anyone think we should go back and check this area again?
