I was wondering if some of you could recommend me some places to go explore. I have done a lot of exploring throughout Wharton but mostly the more common places. Please let me know where you recommend. Thanks so much!
Spend a little while studying the map - NJPB Live Maps is a good place to start. You will surely find something that arouses your sense of curiosity. If not, then maybe you've already seen it all.
If you do this post back and I will tell you the location of the county monument along this route. Exploring by walking is the best and really the only way to find things of interest.

You might try looking over all the very good articles that Ben has on his site, and his historic map section at the link in the headers. Tons of great info. The fun comes with the planning and exploration.
Ok thanks so much everyone! for the good ideas. I will look into all of the maps. Most of my exploration is on foot!
TeeGate I have been to plastic bridge and have been down that road to the crossing you were talking about. I would love to find the county marker though!
