MAYS LANDING -- A public hearing was held tonight in Mays Landing as members of the Pinelands Commission listened to concerns and recommendations from Pineland residents on possible changes to the Comprehensive Management Plan which regulates land use and protects natural environment in the Pinelands National Reserve...​

There are two more public forums:

Friday, September 14th, at 11 a.m., in the Richard J. Sullivan Center (RJS), Pemberton, NJ; and​

Monday, September 24th at 7 p.m. in the RJS.​

​

Public comments will be accepted through Sept. 28. Comments can be sent by email to info@njpines.state.nj.us or mailed to P.O. Box 359, New Lisbon, NJ 08064.

It is very interesting to read the public comments. Chances are you'll recognize some of the commentors. It is simply amazing how many people want to meddle with our wilderness by changing it into something else for their benefit...and all the while couching it as a benefit to all. It seems that everyone commenting is upset with one point or another that is being addressed by the CMP. Are smoke and mirrors being used?
