No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. military for years, risking their lives protecting individuals rights and freedom and after suffering horrendous injury, only receive 50% of their pay. Meanwhile, Politicians hold political positions in their luxurious and safe office suites of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive 100% full pay for their retirement after serving only one term. It just does not make any sense.
