PINELANDS PRESERVATION ALLIANCE POSITION AVAILABLE:

DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

The Pinelands Preservation Alliance ("PPA"), a non-profit
organization devoted to preservation of the New Jersey Pine Barrens,
seeks a development director to carry out the organization's
fundraising and development activities. This position offers an
exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated individual looking to
assume overall responsibility for an organization's fundraising.

PPA has been working in the Pinelands for 14 years and is today a
well-established element of New Jersey's environmental community.
PPA's operating budget for the coming year is expected to be
approximately $630,000. PPA is also in the process of completing a
$1.5 million capital campaign. This winter, PPA will move into new
headquarters in an historic farmstead in Southampton Township. (The
offices are a 30-minute drive from Trenton and a 45-minute drive from
Philadelphia or Princeton.)

The development director will be responsible for carrying out - with
the assistance of the executive director, the membership assistant,
and other staff - all aspects of fundraising and development for the
organization. These responsibilities include: increasing membership
and corporate support, cultivating individual donors, expanding
foundation support, writing grant proposals and reports, managing the
design and production of development-related materials, and completing
the current capital campaign.
