Forked River
Took a ride out to Preachers Hill in Lacey today. I was hoping the trails wouldn’t be so dusty after the rain we had this week.
When I turned after the entrance to Forked River Mountain to go towards the Factory Branch, I was quite surprised. It was completely dried up! No water was going across the road. This is normally a fairly deep forge. The last time I was out there the cement pipes were exposed when they are normally underwater. Today, there was no water at all. As we continued to Preachers Hill, I took a picture of what’s left of the mailbox on Wrights Road. And snapped this nice shot standing in the Serengeti with the sun setting.

You remember that name "Serengeti"! That was a long time ago.

Yes, it's very sad about the factory Branch. That water comes from the area of the old fire tower. And I am surprised it's now drying up. Never seen that before.
