I couldn't sleep so I got up early and went kayaking on Mt. Misery Brook behind my house.

Day break, stem rising off the brook

i've been wanting to get out to mt misery brook for a while...how far can you get before/after the liftover? i read that it's the narrowest navigable waterway in the pines.

Sorry, I forgot about this thread. I have kayaked from route 70 to the bridge on mout Misery road. It was in high water, in the fall. There are many lift overs. I would not recommend going on the river in the summer in general. It can get very overgrown in spots. The lift over picured is near the bridge on Mount Misery road. I want to kayak the rest of it from the bridge to New Lisbon. I will wait for higher water. It is cool, but alot of work.
