Hi Folks,

I wanted to ask if I could request some help from the members here.

The help that I am requesting is regarding the timing of the breeding patterns in a few Pine Barrens frog species. The thread by Whippoorbill that has recently resurfaced has gotten me interested. Can anyone share any information at all regarding what time of year you generally first hear the following species, and at what time of year the calling generally ceases?

Carpenter frog
Leopard frog
Fowler's toad
Pine barrens tree frog
Chorus frog
Spadefoot toad

Thank you for any and all help that people can offer!

*Edit: Folks, I got an update from a member over PM that I should have considered. Would anyone who is generous enough to share this info please share it over PM? There are a few conservation concerns that I should have anticipated.

Thank you!

In the retention pond behind my house the last few weeks all I could hear was chorus frogs until last night I heard the first spring peepers. Then I usually get the gray tree frogs and pine barrens tree frogs closer to May.
