Since the colder weather is here, I have resumed my searching for markers since this is the best time to do that. Earlier this year I received information from a member of this site on the location of quite a few of them right near each other, so Jessica and I headed out early this morning to look for them.
Here is the map showing their relationship to each other.

Out of all of them we found three there, with the far left one being a state marker with the stamping in the metal on the top. One of them was what appears to be an old cement stone, and one was almost like a red brick.

The map is hard to read but it appears the property was purchased by the state on 8/18/1998, and since then the machine that digs the fire breaks has dug up one of the state markers. I had always wondered how deep they were in the ground, and now I know.

I will be talking to someone from the state next week, and will ask him what they do when they are accidentally removed by what appears to be their own people.
We did stumble onto what appeared to be either a large cellar hole or a dug out area.
