OK, for you it was Park Police. For sgtdave4321 it was someone at 'the ranger station', which might mean the park office. If either of you are concerned and want to follow up, consider sending an email to RoundValleycamping@dep.nj.gov - which probably goes to an office manager or senior person who reports to the superintendent.

Yes, forme it was someone at the office where we checked in. I referred to them as " Rangers".If that waasnt the correct title I aam sorry. I did not deal with the Park Police.
Lots of people who have been around a while use the term 'ranger'. Someone in the forest actually referred to me once as a ranger, which was pretty funny. ("The ranger over there told us we can use this trail, or follow that road, to get back.") Does anyone here know what they were, and what became of them? Was this before State Park Police?
The Rangers of yore were not LE certified, the Park Police are, but the terms are still used by some interchangeably.
