Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't you be able to find out who owns that property by looking at a tax map? I'd be willing to take a trip down to (Chatsworth?) town hall and check it out. Who knows-the landowner might be a little sympathetic to the cause ;)

Hmmm...

Rutgers Camden I assume? For what purpose? Botany maybe? I remember when I was in marine biology in high school (about 4 years ago) the teacher told us about an area that was either a quarry or charcoal manufacturing place that was of special interest to bontanists. It seems that the land was entirely stripped of vegetation by a practice such as gravel mining or clear cutting, and as a result only certain, special plants grow there that are found very few other places in the U.S. Could this be the spot?
