located in Waretown. Anyone know why? One of the best local sandwich places and a place to find Scandinavian goodies.

The Deli has been closed for a while. I am told by a third party that they were retiring and none of the relatives or kids wanted the place. They gave you a great hogie for the money, and lots of good quaity meat in the sandwich. :ham::ham::ham:

Thanks. I was there just before Christmas and there was no indication they were planning on closing. Too bad.

Too bad. Working only ten minutes away, I got my lunch there now and then. It seems all the unique mom-and-pop places are being replaced by generic Wawas and the like. It's becomeing a more boring world.

As long as this is New Jersey there will always be Mom and Pop pizza and sub shops. :)

You got that right! A couple of years ago my daughter wanted to go to Olive Garden for her birthday, and I was incredulous. "You live in a state where you can hardly throw a rock without hitting a great little italian restaurant, and you want to go to Olive Garden?" Nod. It was her birthday, so we went to... choke... Olive Garden.

Schatzie's was a bit more than those. They carried some specialty items. Now I have to get my Lingonberry preserves off the web. :argh:
