Signs By Oswego Lake

Has anyone noticed the signs on Jenkins Road which is the road past Oswego Lake that warns drivers to keep off the vegetation? They are home made signs. I did not see anything along that section that would warrant them, even though a few years ago I did find a pink Lady Slipper in that area.

That area has been marked for the past couple of years by stakes and ribbon--I never did figure out what vegetation they're meant to be protecting, or who placed the ribbon and signs.

I mentioned it to the person I was with and they just smiled and did not make a comment. I found the Lady Slipper just off the road near the ruins on the adjacent road. It was a lone one slightly past it's prime. Maybe there are others.

I believe Burlington County DPW has certain areas that they limit or schedule mowing the ROW due to vegitation.
