Smoke on the Oswego

I believe the maps on Google have been updated quite recently, and it appears the Haines family or someone was having a major cookout at Oswego Lake Or maybe a fire. Click on the Satellite button to view it.

Was the image taken during the winter? Maybe it's a prescribed burn. Most of the cranberry farmers burn their forests to reduce fuels.

I think you're right, since the bogs are flooded.

I have looked at Oswego before and did not see that smoke. Has anyone noticed it before?

I've noticed it before but cannot say when I first noticed it. Not sure of the vintage of the photos. On Google Earth the copyright is 2007. However my van is still shown in my backyard. Its been in my driveway for well over a year. Maybe even 2 years.
