I been through there a lot of times. The problem is, people drive down that road like there's no tomorrow; they're always passing me like I'm standing still....

There are a few problems on that road, which i take going home from my boat in little egg harbor.1)There are some hairy turns, but easily negotiable if you stay at the posted speed of 35 mph,but like boyd said, speeders abound.2)there is another problem on the road past the batso split(going nw or coming se from rt.679,there is a depressed speed bump(around the gaging station),and you better cut the speed to around 20 mph or you will get rattled. If you want to talk about when that road was really bad,it was in the mid 80's,pockmarked from one end to the other.A friend who used to keep his boat in the same marina as mine, would actually avoid stage road and take rt.679(rt.563 spur then) into new gretna, then north(rt.9) to tuckerton, that's how bad it was.

Bad accident on Stage Rd

Yesterday I decided to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather in the afternoon. So I headed off to Allen Rd to do some exploring, but when I approached the intersection with Stage Rd there were a number of police and emergency vehicles making everyone detour. Wouldn't ya know it? - out of all the places in the pines, I picked an accident scene! So I went back to the Martha area and had a nice time walking around.

Anyway, I don't know what the accident was but judging from the number of emergency vehicles it must have been serious. I've always thought that intersection looked scary and as mentioned above, people drive way too fast. Anybody hear about that accident? It was here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=39.624416,-74.446825&layer=&ie=UTF8&z=12&om=1&iwloc=addr
