While hiking down a firecut yesterday I encountered some rather strange tracks.
The foot shape was similar to that of a small Human, and it had two claws in the front. It was about 4 inches long and 3 inches wide. The foot part was about 3/4ths of an inch deep while the claws really dug in at least an inch.
Anyone have an idea what this thing could be? I was thinking bear, as the foot shape was quite similar to this, but it looked small for a bear and this only had two claws.
I wish I had some pics but unfortunately my digital camera was stolen when I was visiting Montreal a few weeks ago. I could perhaps draw something if it would be helpful.
