The not so Big Brown Bat...

During a regular trip to the woodpile out in the back yard, I noticed a very small furry lump on the particular piece of split wood which I was about to carry back to the house. Behold: The Big Brown Bat. This little guy was still in his groggy winter sleep mode so I was careful not to wake the poor thing up. Keep in mind this little bat here is only about as long as your index finger. Sorry for the very few, rather blurry pictures; I did not want to take the risk of waking him up too early in the season. Anyhow, enjoy!

Edit: I'll try to get a better shot if I can avoid disturbing him/her later...
