Karen F. Riley has developed a passion for the Pine Barrens and its people, history, and culture. This is her third book on the area, and she is deeply indebted to the residents who shared their photographs, stories, and history so others may learn about this jewel of New Jersey.

I picked this book up a couple weeks ago at Borders (it's part of the "Images of America" series from arcadia publishers). I enjoyed it - there are some old pictures that I hadn't seen before there. But people who have read the other books on the pines will probably not learn very much that they didn't know already.

It's a nice addition to my bookshelf, but the $22 price is a little steep for what you get IMO.
