Anyone have an ID on this young one? Lots of wiggles.
I'm always stumped by young snakes. I do know it's not a viper. It could be a rat snake.
That one needs to see a chiropractor.
It is a Black Rat Snake
They wiggle like that because thats how they climb trees by getting their scutes (belley scales) caught in the bark and inching their way up.
I figured it was because of the look. It is the same as the one Jes and I found.
