I visited this place near Coyle Field in 1978, and have not been back since until this afternoon. I was, and still am not sure what this was used for, but as I have mentioned before I believe it had some use probably during the war. The photo's were taken in different seasons so the vegetation is quite different. Notice the large trees were not there in 1978 in the photo on the left. But obviously the most changes have occurred with the person in the photo. Time has taken it's toll....
This area is in the plains with the dwarf pines on the roads leading to it. I was having problems locating it, so I just climbed a few branches up in a tree and looked around, and it was in plain view.
