Tree Falls, Kills 2 Boys Camping in NJ State Park

After this I guess the State will be closing more campgrounds and cutting all the trees down In the Camping Areas.Sorry for the family's lost.
A 40-foot pine tree snapped and fell overnight, killing two little boys who were camping in Parvin State Park in Salem County, New Jersey.
The boys, ages 2 and 7, are related, police tell NBC10.
They were camping with their families when the tragedy happened.
The severe storms brought down so many trees in the area, it took state police nearly two hours to get to the scene. Normally, it would have taken 30 minutes, Richard Arroyo, director of NJ Park Police, told the Gloucester County Times.
Parvin State Park is in Pittsgrove Township. Arroyo said the park has 56 sites for tents and trailer hookups. The storms chased most folks away, but some stayed.
The little boys, whose identities will be released later today, were pronounced dead at the scene.

I read about those two deaths at Parvins in a national news story. That's awful. I can't even imagine the pain and anguish the parents of those two boys are going through today.

I was awaken by that storm when it hit Cape May County at 1:00 am. Today is trash day. When I walked outside at 5:45 am this mornimg there were cans, broken bottles and all manner of trash strewn all over everybody's yard and out in the streets. The seagulls and crows were having a field day picking through it.

I have been caught in a few thunderstorms in the Appalachian mountains where the wind was blowing so hard that the leaves being stripped off the trees made it look like it was snowing. But the real bad ones I have been in have all happened during the daytime when I could see what was going on around me and had a chance to take evasive if a nearby tree was uprooted. Being in a tent at night in a bad storm is scary because you have no idea if a falling tree is heading your way.

I tried to make my commute to Atlantic City this morning via Parvins Mill Road and past the state park, but the roadway was littered with fallen trees and I had to turn around and seek another route. It wasn't long after I had left Parvins Mill when I received word about the kids. It breaks a heart.

There didn't seem to be much in the way of warning with the storms.

My entire ride to AC was akin to driving through a war zone. Vineland got smashed. I tried to cross town on one of its side streets and hundreds of trees were leveled and power lines were down left, right and center. By far the worst damage I've personally seen.
