Trip to Round Valley

On Saturday I went to Round Valley Resevoir in Hunterdon County in search for some trout. I didn't turn out lucky however I got to see a few heft lake trout that some others had caught and it was a beautiful day. Anyone who hasn't been there before I recomend you go its easy to get there. heres a picture of the nice clean water.

Next time you're up there check out Spruce Run as well. Also a huge reservoir and a gorgeous area. It's just to the west of Round Valley on the opposite side of Route 31.

I used to fish there with my Dad and brother when I was a kid. Later with teenage friends. My Dads ashes were scattered in round valley. It was a town before they turned it into a reservior and I heard you can still see houses and buildings at the bottom. I remember one time fishing there in a drought and thinking I saw structures under water. A huge lake by NJ standards.
