Either way, I'm not going to bother to prep the snowthrower.

I drained the gas out of mine yesterday, over a year old ethanol. This is the reason for that forecast and why there will be close to a foot by Friday.

I just returned from bird watching the bay by Manahawkin. The weather did take a turn towards the colder through the day. It felt much colder and raw after lunch. The change in the pattern of the wind may have been the cause. I just put my gloves on and pulled my hood up to deal with things. I noticed Short-ears don't favor windy days.

There are a few very rare ones flying around, will be chasing them on Fri.

Crested Caracara, 2 reported and several Northen Lapwings. I've noticed very few Owls so far; Sandy may be to blame.

Very nice! I am very fond of owls and all birds of prey for that matter. 46er, did you shoot those two images with a table leg?:D

I may have to invest in a telephoto zoom lens.

They have lifted the warning from everything but the Southern counties. Even down here, it is only a "winter weather advisory" and my forecast calls for "about an inch". But hey - they could be wrong, so don't let this stop you from running to the store and buying all the bread and eggs you can carry. :D
