What is it??

I was wondering if anyone could tell us what this is. We found it out in the woods. Ay first I thought it was a brick but it's heavy and it is made of metal. I has the word Dynaplate on it.

I found this on dynaplate:

thats Dynaplate now. Most people call it Diamond plate. If you look at Dynaplate Automotive online you can see a picture of what it looks like now.
