Two years ago I discovered yellow crested orchids (platanthera cristata) at Quarter Mile. Last year for some reason they were not there. I discovered them again last week and returned early this morning for a count. A total of eight plants as far as I can tell, exactly the same as two years ago. They are growing in the same confined area as before and no further. It is really strange how particular these plants are. A foot each way and they don't grow.
