Great event today! My camera is in the camera hospital, so I didn't get many decent pictures (stupid camera phone with low light levels), but the family and I had a great time. Kids loved the animals Cedar Run brought with (the little one was obsessed with the tiny owl, the bigger kid loved the hawk) and my one son was fascinated with the glass beehive the honey folks brought.
Kids got them a book about how Lucy the Elephant comes to life to recruit the Statue of Liberty to fight off a giant snake (it's a major disgrace how this doesn't have a contract from a major Hollywood Studio yet, I'd totally pay to see the movie version).
Rita Moonsammy talked me into buying Chaseworld (it wasn't a real hard sell, it looks really good) about foxhunting in the pine barrens, and I picked up Gabe's album (which should make my commute this week infinitely better).
Got a chance to talk to Gabe and Jerseyman for a few minutes, and ran into some other non-board folks. As always, a great day!
Now just to find babysitters for next year so I can go to the dinner...
