Here is another one I made this weekend. I was going by memory so it is not exact. In any event it is an interesting view. That was 40 years ago when my friend KC took that photo. I was 21 years old. The next time I am there I will take the photo and try to get a more accurate shot.

Is this Carranza Memorial?

I looked today and saw none at Guy's now picture, but here is one a little further toward Tabernacle across from the Carranza sign at both of Guy's now and then locations. It is near the west entrance to the lot. IF it is not raining this morning I will take a closer look. Have things changed so much in 40 years?

The general area has not changed so my photo is taken by the monument. However, I stood at the monument and took my newest photo and the Then photo may have been taken 50 or so feet on either side of it. He may not have been standing right at the monument even though I think he was.

I went back today with your picture and Guy, you were so close. I first found the tree, very alive, and then went back to the lot and stood where the oak trunk was to the right of the pine.

Thanks for the project. I have been bored with all the rain. We had a tropical downpour just after these pictures. Several inches.

Very nice Ed! I will go back and try and park my car at the proper location as well as stand in the correct spot.

In 2003 I visited a location with a few other individuals and took the top photo and then forgot about it. In 2016 I obviously was at that location again and took the bottom photo. Last night while going over my 2003 photos I realized I had been there before.

Here is a good one. I seem to remember taking this before but I don't appear to have it. So I went today and this is the result. The JCRR Bridge over 72 looking towards Chatsworth. The pines have really changed over the years.

I was at the exact spot about a week ago and I too noticed the dramatic change. Specifically the absence of all the snow that was there in the mid 70's

BTW, today there were vehicles with trailers parked along Savoy Blvd and the ATV's and motorcycles were riding all over the old ATV park. The one vehicle still in the trailer was the biggest ATV I have ever seen. Jessica and I looked at each other and were shocked. The door was down and it was parked in the back. There also were a few cars parked on the trail to the ATV park that had been parked by the bridge but when we came they drove up Savoy to the sand road into the park.

Maybe it was QUADZILLA!

(it was an actual quad made by Suzuki)

Cool pics too. That bridge is also a neat spot to see the sun set over the pines during the summer

Here is one from Route 206 in Atsion. Most likely the top photo is from slightly after mid 1970s but I would have to go through my slides to find the exact development date. They are all hidden away right now.

I will be adding others to this thread that I have posted before.

Bloody Bridge Road taken by Elizabeth Morgan in 1973 and by me in 2014. I was given permission to use her photo. (Update: It is Bloody Ridge Road not Bridge)
