Well he is looking to for sure. Just trying to do my homework to relieve some stress. I bought my house thinking clear cutting for farmland wasn’t in play. I guess it’s better then houses .

Sorry to hear about your issue.

Imagine if you lived near Haines. He has taken out most of the large cedar swamp.

Bob,
You posted the link to the original CMP.
The most current 2018 version can be viewed here:

Rural Development minimum standards can be found at 7:50-5.26 beginning on page 135 of the linked document. Agriculture, forestry and and a very broad range of other permitted uses are outlined. Each municipality can establish their own standards, as long as they are not contrary to the minimum standards in the CMP.

Isn't Haines doing a cedar restoration in an area that was hit hard during Hurricane Sandy?

Here is that area in 2010: https://online.boydsmaps.com/#16/39.7494/-74.5092/njgin2010
And the same place in 2013: https://online.boydsmaps.com/#16/39.7494/-74.5092/njgin2013

Hurricane Sandy was in 2012. Where is the "area that was hit hard"? I suppose it's possible that the 2013 aerials were actually filmed in 2012 before Sandy? The metadata says:
=====================
Time Period Information:
Single Date/Time:
Calendar Date: 20130101

=====================

https://www.arcgis.com/sharing/rest...adata/metadata.xml?format=default&output=html

Here is 2015: https://online.boydsmaps.com/#16/39.7494/-74.5092/njgin2015
And 2017: https://online.boydsmaps.com/#16/39.7494/-74.5092/njgin2017

What am I doing wrong? Clicking on your links for the maps all I get is a gray screen at 500' resolution. The metadata link came through fine.

I read an article from 2013 about them donating cedar trees from the hundreds that were blown down during the storm to an inner-city group teaching kids how to build sailboats. The two areas might not be the same? I believe the cedar restoration project has to be approved (if more than 5000 sq.ft.)?

Just curious @1Jerseydevil - do those links work for you now? Is anyone else having problems seeing the maps I linked to? The data comes directly from NJGIN, so it's possible they were just having some kind of issue when you tried earlier.

Yes, fine now. What threw me off is that your link to the metadata site worked.

Pretty sure this was just a glitch with the map data from NJGIN. They used to have a lot of problems like this and were also very slow. But around a year ago they made some big changes, and for the most part it works very well now. Glad it's working for you. :)

The metadata is actually hosted at arcgis, and that would be different from the map servers.
