Lake Pine Memories ..

Does anyone remember the old restaurant across from lake pine dam before it became Beau rivage ( long time ago in lake pine). It had a piano bar , served burgers , fries, ice cream sodas and penny candy. It was there when I was a kid.
or Rips general store on the other end of lake pine?.. we used to go there on our bikes behind the old lakes community chapel?.
it would have been located where the lascal pronto is now and the dry cleaners?

I assumed it was Lake Pine, near Taunton Lake. I lived in Medford Lakes about 25 years ago myself. I remember Beau Rivage, but not the old restaurant.

@sewnmom might enjoy this old thread about that general area, it rambles on for a number of pages. I even posted an old story of my own about Lake Pine there, where a "local girl" went on to become rather famous.

I drive past this place all the time and wonder who owns it and if it's protected (it certainly looks unique and of historical value). Does anyone live there who can comment on it's condition inside? It looks like small apartments or rooms - always many cars outside. Got a great view of the...

This property at 128 Taunton Blvd is shown as a "vacant restaurant", built in 1926. Is that the location you were talking about?

I found this on the Web. 'Historically this site was the home of the Pinewood Restaurant which close in the 1970's. Beginning in 1978 the site operated as Beau Rivage"
