Thought some on this board may have an interest. The Avalon History Center is reviving a piece of Jersyana in the form of a clamshell pitching tournament. Basically, its an event that started in the Cape May area some time after the end of WW II. Similar to horseshoes but with a Jersey beach flair. Anyway, its a free all ages event, classes for age groups, August 7th at 30th street Beach at 1pm in Avalon NJ. Prizes and glory awarded to the winners!
