Where was i when i took this pic. i want to hike back past, but not sure which road. i know it is near the Eagle Cemetery.

To narrow it down a little more, the location of the sign was at the below link. Just remember that is private property. And the last time Jessica and I was there looking for stones, their 10 dogs followed us through the woods barking constantly.

thanks ed and guy. both posts got me to where i wanted to be. ill be walking from hawkins bridge to batona and wanted to walk past some things i did in 08. might skip apple pie hill. doing batsto-hawkin's bridge-batona-lower forge-batsto.
The site at the link is pretty good, shows all markers in NJ, and elsewhere if your so inclined. Coords, description and pictures as well. Nothing on that Eagle tavern, but the cemetery is listed.

Charles Wills' gravesite is right down the same road, right? I remember going down there a few times, once on a trip with Kendawg and Tom from the OCSJ. We started at APH and headed to Friendship and passed both those sites.
