    What kind of snake is this?

    thanks for the id! i'm glad i didn't try to mess with him. he was very docile when i came upon him, he didn't move an inch, but when i came back 10 minutes later, he was gone without a trace. do you think he recently shedded his skin? it looks pretty fresh to me.
