I once partially submerged a Jeep Grand Cherokee in there. I had to jump into the lake to attach some tow straps to my truck. The water had a slick, oily feel to it - probably from all of the stolen cars dumped into it.

I don't know if it's gotten better but swimming in there seems pretty gross.

Can't really say I blame Manchester for stepping up patrols. It's going to be all turned into condos soon anyway.
