Wharton State Forest will be hosting a screening of the documentary, "Goodwill: The Flight of Emilio Carranza" on June 21 at 3pm. Known as "Mexico's Charles Lindbergh", Emilio Carranza crashed and died in the New Jersey Pine Barrens on July 12, 1928. This film documents the life of Carranza and the connection between New Jersey and the people of Mexico. Each year on the second weekend of July, a ceremony takes place at the Carranza Memorial in Wharton State Forest to remember this hero of Mexico. The director, Robert A. Emmons, will be attending the screening to introduce his film and answer questions. The screening will take place in the auditorium at Batsto Village, located on Rt. 542 in Washington Township. Admission to the program is free, however there is a $5.00 parking fee. For more information please call (609) 561-0024.
