    NJ Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan

I think it’s important to note that this entire thread is mostly about illegal activity and the lack of enforcement. I can’t speak for everyone but I would think that most here are in agreement on that point. Where the opinions really seem to really differ is the need for more restrictive...

    Where is this?

When I was thinking it could be phragmites I never realized they grew in circular clusters. Is the ground actually pushed up or is the base of the plants so dense that the LiDAR sees it as ground. I’d imagine the root system would be more dense around the edges simply because there’s more...

    Where is this?

Ok. Now I have 2 questions. 1. Are they naturally occurring? 2. Were they created less then 50 years ago? I can’t really see them on older aerials.

Here’s a short article about the “Cape May Bubble”. Your map shows it pretty clearly. https://norcast.tv/the-cape-may-bubble-unraveling-the-unique-weather-phenomena-of-cape-may/

    Where is this?

Just saw this. That’s my old stomping grounds. Spent many nights in the early ‘90’s at his nostril. We always called it Osbornes pit. Off kettle run road.

It’s funny you mention there. When I first read your post and without looking at any maps my first thought were they could have dumped off the OWHP wus in the vicinity of the old raceway.

I’ve never heard of that, but it wouldn’t surprise me. They dumped asbestos at Aerohaven Airport in Evesham.

I remember going to elementary school iat Atco in the 70’s and the smell from there was so bad they wouldn’t let us outside and that was miles away.

As a teenager we used to ride mountain bikes all around this area and explores it pretty extensively.

I doubt that’s how it got there but that whole area area around the Big Timber Creek and it’s branches have steep banks and the water levels fluctuate greatly when it rains. I’m sure all the pavement around helps too. I’m not familiar with that particular branch but I’ve been to many in that area.

Clearly your definition of “reasonable access” and mine are very different.

I think his confusion is in the term “off road”. Driving on Quaker bridge road is on road travel. Leaving the road and driving through the woods would be considered “off road”.
