    Where is this?

We were there last week. I was a little nervous going through it too. With the size of that dam that whole area is going to flood once we are out of this drought. P.S. That's why I couldn't find you. I was on the other side in Parkdale looking.

    Is this December??

I was driving back from Washington DC on 301 today and almost slammed on the breaks when I saw two cherry trees in full bloom. I told my wife about it and she showed me this. Crazy weather...

    Eco-Terrorism in the Pines

I was thinking of that too. I remember hearing that but I was young and wasn't sure if it was just rumors. I did hear of a person that was cutting through someone's back yard and caught a clothes line but even that I don't know much of the details.

    Eco-Terrorism in the Pines

It sounds like they were placed all over the place which doesn't seems like a hunter.

    Eco-Terrorism in the Pines

We will probably never know who placed them there. So close to shotgun season kind of make you wonder if it's from a hunter trying to keep people out of his area. I've heard stories of hunters burning bridges to accomplish the same thing. It doesn't make it any less wrong but like 46er said its...

    Is this December??

I agree. Just about every year I get a chance to fire up the smoker and enjoy a 60 degree day. It feels like several years in a row it was always around New Year's Day. I've never heard the frogs start up though.

    Is this December??

Ok, I'm sure everyone is thinking the same thing. Last week I was out jigging for stripers and we caught 3 summer fluke. Yesterday we were out in the pines saw two black racers. Now today the spring peepers are starting up in the retention pond. I'm starting to think I slept through winter.

This might be a good one for Redneck. My father always considered Anchor lakes part of Millers bogs. I never understood why. Is it possible that the state sold it off since it was such a remote tract?

    Are Coyotes a threat?

Something similar but not in the pines. My oldest son set out for the bus stop and made it out as far as the front porch and was confronted by a raccoon. He fled back in his moms house but left his book bag outside. He watched the raccoon open it up and walk off with his lunch.

    Are Coyotes a threat?

I've thought about this as well. Nature does a good job at balancing everything even with human intervention. I see larger more mature deer in places like Morrestown and Cherry Hill then I do in some of the pines. They simply can't be hunted there. If Coyotes start losing their fear of humans I...

    Map Nostalgia

I might have to argue. Once you're lost a map alone is little help;) I never go in the woods without a compass. Some day I'll save up the money for a GPS.
