    Sunshine Park Nudist Colony

That's definitely it! If you rotate the map, it matches the blueprint in that catcountry1073 article perfectly. https://boydsmaps.com/#17.00/39.417909/-74.710811/pines2020/-57.60/0.00 The LIDAR imagery shows where some of the old buildings were...

    Sunshine Park Nudist Colony

Based on the quote above, it must be way past Lake Lenape Park. This would be about "2 miles south of the village" https://boydsmaps.com/#14.00/39.426148/-74.700990/pines1949/0.00/0.00 That would put it near Gravelly Run on the newer 24k Topo...

    Sunshine Park Nudist Colony

I just learned about that place a few months ago too. See this thread, there's a link to read/download the book from rutgers. https://forums.njpinebarrens.com/threads/1939-wpa-map-of-new-jersey.14405/#post-174294 "MAYS LANDING, 17.5 m (20 alt., 1,868 pop.), is the seat of Atlantic County. It...

    Bodine's Tavern

Unfortunately, it's been over a year since he visited the site. I don't know what map he is referring to. But remembered this thread about the tavern from 2020 https://forums.njpinebarrens.com/threads/kayaking-on-the-wading-river.13472/#post-161580 The imagery in that thread comes from the old...

    Which Weather Apps?

I don't much care for them anymore either. I used them from just about the beginning, in the 1990's when you would use the unix telnet program to connect to a special address that would spit a text weather forecast back at you (this was before they had a website). We thought that was pretty cool...

    Which Weather Apps?

I have the weather underground app on my phone, but rarely use it. I check the weather a couple times a day on the National Weather Service website on my computer at home. Like Bob, Radarscope is pretty much the only weather-related app that I use on my phone. FWIW, the boydsmaps app has a...

boydsmaps on a phone without cell service

Still working on this and am actually re-writing my app to be more like a handheld GPS. Realized that no router is required to use the android phone as a server for my iPhone. I just enabled the built-in wifi hotspot feature on my iPhone and then connected the Android phone to it. That allows...

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

Just posted on NGIN's website: "All NJOGIS services & applications have been restored. Thank you for your patience!"

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

Yeah, very slow. This outage annoyed me because I was just one day into a multi-day download of full-resolution aerials. Now that it's working again, I resumed my download but after an hour there were so many errors and it was so slow that I just bailed. I can get the same thing from their files...

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

Back online again! This was just posted on NJGIN's website "Users may experience issues accessing NJOGIS services & applications this morning. NJOGIS is aware of the issue and is currently working to fix the problem. An update will go out once all services are restored."

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

Thanks. They also have that on their website. No luck again this morning, still down for me on AT&T and Verizon, confirmed to be down for everyone here too https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/maps.nj.gov.html Also here...

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

Here's a little more info. NJGIN has a status page here. https://www.nj.gov/njgin/about/status/ Nothing appears useful there, however, click the link under REST Services. That is (basically) the homepage for their map servers. https://maps.nj.gov/arcgis/rest/services I get an error that the...

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

OK, cool. Sorry, the examples you posted were from Google. But that is not what I experienced however, and apparently Rooftree had the same issue. Also the "isitdownrightnow" site confirmed that NJGIN servers were not reachable. But I'll admit, the internet is a strange place and Comcast (or...

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

Sorry, but you clearly didn't read my post. There's no problem with Google Maps, I specifically said they are working. It's the NJGIN servers that are down. I didn't notice any problem with Google maps. If there was one, then it's not related to what I have described. Anyway, the NJGIN...

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

Are you sure it's not just cached data? If you use NJPB maps a lot, then you might have quite a bit in the browser cache. Try looking at a different map that you haven't used, in another part of the state. Regardless, not working for me either at NJPB or boydsmaps. And I have tried with both...

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

FYI: all of the NJGIN maps have been offline this morning, as I posted elsewhere. This includes almost everying on the NJPB maps menu, the only things currently working are Google Maps, the Topo (from ArcGIS) and my old LIDAR map (locally hosted at NJPB). Same maps are also down at boydsmaps...

Interesting. Just tried on my Mac and you're right: Firefox, Chrome and Edge all do that for me too. But Safari gets it right on my Mac and that's what I use. :)

FWIW, if you mean the 1958/2012 image, then your link correctly scrolls the page to the beginning of that post for me. But this may be specific to browser and screen size. When a thread has a lot of pictures, it is often hard to link correctly to a single post.
