Do you have a subscription to the Press Guy? I imagine I'm not the only one who can't see those articles.

    No, that is incorrect.

    Where is this?

When I posted it, I figured it would be unfair to do so because it could be anywhere along that road. So I will give a huge, one word clue: Skirmish

Atco Dragway to permanently close after 63 years in NJ, all remaining events for 2023 canceled

Scott, that certainly does not sound like something that should be plunked down next to the headwaters of the Mullica. Maybe okay if they used a giant impermeable surfarce and treated all the rain water coming off the site. Kind of related, I remember that the junkyard off Lacey Road NW of...

Atco Dragway to permanently close after 63 years in NJ, all remaining events for 2023 canceled

I don't get it. At least 3 times this year I went to Camden County via Jackson Road when there were things going on there, and the number of people there looked like they would be making money.

    Where is this?

Seen yesterday. I've not noticed it before, but then it has been placed about 7 feet off the ground.

    Phoenix

On the news last night they interviewed a couple outdoors running an errand. It was Phoenix or Texas. They asked the girl how it feels outside. She said, in a serious tone, "it feels like I'm on fire". The boyfriend anwered; "yeah".

Meet Wharton State Forest Superintendent Chris Ford (Video)

I'll bet, when I first read the town name in Beck, I pronounced it At-see-on. For whatever reason, I now say Atsine. It's a morph.

    Working with Waypoints and Maps

By the way, forget what I said about not caring what year the map is. This 2014 Westcreek map (on the right), is really lame compared to the same quad on your site.

    Working with Waypoints and Maps

I like your suggestion to put the name in another field temporarily. That'll work.

    Working with Waypoints and Maps

Also, to be clear, you said about the waypoints: "But I didn't really expect this to be a common feature, just gave it as one example of something that was possible. Yes, I considered adding a feature in the editor to show or hide the waypoint" I meant to show or hide the "names" on the map...

    Working with Waypoints and Maps

Thanks for the replies, and thanks for the list too. I don't need the info on your map now, as I do have one of those block sheets that overlay the quads onto a NJ outline map and I can easily figure out the name, I was just stuck on the year. To be clear, that list corresponds to what's in the...

    Working with Waypoints and Maps

Boyd, I'm reading your help section and trying to understand the workings of waypoints. A couple of things I want to bring up. Don't think of them as critiques, it's just maybe I'm not seeing or understanding something. I'm trying to use your site more since it's so useful to what I do. 1) You...

Wet Forest - Formerly Known as Dry Forest

Starting at 8 am tomorrow, the dew point will be at 75 or above, and will continue that way until 8 pm Sunday evening. The term for those conditions is "extremely uncomfortable, fairly oppressive".

If you lived local I'd come look at it and offer you something. Too bad you are way out there. You could start with the Ocean County Historical Society. They have a museum too. https://oceancountyhistory.org/museum/ https://oceancountyhistory.org/about/contact/
